Sqwat means eating at people’s homes. Here’s what the app does so it all goes well, and our tips for your first sqwat.
Before the sqwat
- Profiles show a verified phone number and the reviews left after every meal.
- The address only goes to confirmed guests.
- Sqwat is for people aged 18 and over.
Payment
- Everything is paid in the app, by secure payment: no cash, no bank transfers between strangers.
- Your card is only charged once your place is confirmed.
- If the host cancels, you’re refunded in full.
Your first sqwat
- Tell someone close where you’re eating.
- Get there and back on your own.
- You can leave at any time, no explanation needed.
- Never pay outside the app.
Afterwards
- Hosts and guests rate each other after every meal.
- Something wrong? Report it from the profile or the sqwat: every report is handled within 24 hours.
- Block someone, and you no longer see each other: no sqwats, no profile, no messages.
In an emergency, call 112 (or your local emergency number).
