New in town? Your table is two streets away.
One public sqwat or a neighbourhood circle, and your new city already has familiar faces. On your own, with a friend, or just for a to-go box.

Open tables, close to home.
Public sqwats in your neighbourhood show up in your feed: the host, the menu, the date and your share, before you book. The address appears once your place is accepted.
A girls-only sqwat, or between 25 and 35.
A public sqwat can be limited to women, to men, or to an age range. For a first dinner in a city where you know nobody, that changes everything.
Bring your flatmate.
Add a friend to your request, even if they’re not on Sqwat: one request, and you arrive as two.
- They confirm in one tap, or from a link.
- Everyone pays for their seat, or you treat them.
- The host accepts you both at once.

Sync your contacts to see who’s already on Sqwat: the old colleague who moved here, a friend’s cousin. Only scrambled numbers are sent, never names.

Start with a to-go box.
Not quite ready for an evening at someone’s place? Pick up a neighbour’s box at mealtime: two minutes on the doorstep, and a first smile in your building.

Moved to the area last week, incredible welcome. I’ve already made two new friends.

Very clean flat, delicious food, and a host who thought of everything.

Everything, explained.
Can I leave early?
Of course: you can leave whenever you like, no explanation needed. The time is shown before you book.
I don’t speak the language well yet.
The app speaks ten languages, and plenty of circles bring expats together. A meal is also the best way to learn.
How much does it cost, and how is the price worked out?
The app is free. The host estimates the groceries, and Sqwat splits them across every place, the host’s own included: the host pays their share like everyone else. The price shown includes the Sqwat fee (5 % plus €0.99 per place). It’s set from the start and doesn’t change, even if some places stay empty. Your card is held when you ask for a place, and only charged if the host accepts you.
Max price or fixed price: what’s the difference?
With a max price, you pay at most the price shown: after the meal, the host enters what they really spent, and you get the difference back. With a fixed price, you pay the price shown, whatever the receipt says. And in a private or secret sqwat, the host can also cover everything: their guests pay nothing.
What the tax office says: does the host make money?
At home, it’s cost sharing: as long as the host eats with their guests and what they pay doesn’t exceed the real cost of the groceries, it isn’t income. Anything the host receives above that is taxable income they must declare. That’s why Sqwat works out the price from the groceries. For to-go sqwats, the rule is stricter: one to-go sqwat a week at most (beyond that, it becomes a catering business, with a professional kitchen and licences), and what the host receives is taxable, even if it only pays back the groceries.
Sqwat, for everyone.
